About Florida Frames
Florida Frames is an employee-owned frame shop in Clearwater, Florida. We have been making picture frames here since 1984, and every frame on this site is still made to order in that same shop, to the size you type in when you order.
Since 1984
Greg Brodnick founded the shop in 1984 and ran it for the better part of four decades, building it around one idea: frames made to the size of the art, at a price working artists and galleries could afford. He retired and sold the business in 2021. It was then modernized from the shop floor to this website, and today it operates as Florida Frames LLC, owned by the people who make the frames.
What we make
Two things, mostly: floater frames for stretched canvas, and solid wood frames for paintings, prints and photographs. You pick the profile and finish, enter your artwork size, and we build the frame to it. Most sizes ship assembled; very large frames can ship ready to assemble so they travel safely and still qualify for flat-rate shipping.
Who buys from us
Working artists, galleries, frame shops, photographers and interior designers make up most of our orders, and a lot of them come back order after order. We sell to anyone, though. The price on the site is the price, whether you are buying one frame for your own wall or forty for a show. There is no trade application and no minimum.
How we work
- Frames are made in our Clearwater shop, not drop-shipped from somewhere else.
- Most orders ship in 7 to 10 business days; plan on under two weeks. Large quantities can add a few days, so call if you have a date.
- Flat-rate shipping, free on orders over $250.
- Quantity discounts on three or more of one frame at one size, and 10% off if you pick up in person.
