Florida Frames is primarily a direct-to-industry business. Galleries, frame shops, interior designers, photographers, corporate art installers and a lot of artists buy frames from us in quantity, and that is the work this shop is built around.

A wholesale order here is not a different product or a different department. It is the same made-to-order frame, in the quantity you need, at a price you can see on the website before you speak to anybody. We can also sell to consumers, and there is no separate retail price to pay. The prices on the site are the prices the trade pays, so one frame for your own wall is bought at the same number a gallery pays for forty. That is worth knowing if you have been comparing us against a retailer.

Our prices are our prices

As a general rule, our prices are our prices. We do not run specials, we do not do discounts and we do not do holiday coupon codes or any of that. A lot of competitors use gimmicks — mark things up very high, then run coupon codes against their own markup. We are industry focused instead. What you see is what you get, price-wise.

There are exactly two things that move the number, and both are about quantity and handling rather than a sale.

Three or more of one frame, and ten or more

  • Three or more frames of the same moulding at the same size — same product number and the same size — is 5% off that line.
  • Ten or more of that same product number at that same size is 10% off that line. The 10% replaces the 5%; it is not added on top.

Both halves have to match. The tier reads off a product number paired with a size, so ten of one moulding in ten different sizes is not the same order as ten of one moulding at one size. If you are planning a run and you want it to land on a tier, keep the size consistent across the run.

Ten percent for picking the order up

If you pick your order up in person instead of having it shipped, you get 10% off, regardless of how much you order. That is for picking it up and us not having to ship it. It stacks with the quantity tiers: the quantity discount comes off the qualifying lines first, then 10% comes off the whole order for pickup.

Price per frame, not per foot

Our pricing is not per foot. It is a price per frame. You put your dimensions into the website and it pops out a frame price, so you can build the whole order and see the total without waiting on a quote from anybody. There is no per-foot rate card to decode and no trade price list to request.

Every frame is cut and built to the dimensions on your order, which is why a custom size prices the same way a common size does.

There is no minimum and no application

There is no minimum to open an account or to do business with us. You can literally just buy online, and anybody can check out.

That is on purpose. Some of the artists we supply are high-volume and travel all year. Some are starting out and order one frame at a time. A new artist does not have the established nature to qualify for an account that requires a certain amount of volume, and we would rather a starting artist have the same access to frames as our biggest customers than put a gate in front of them.

Where we shine is quality at volume

A lot of people have a hard time finding a frame company that can actually produce the number of frames they need, but that is not one of the run-of-the-mill, lower-quality volume shops. That is the gap we sit in.

An artist wants a good frame. That same artist also wants 20, 30 or 40 of them at a time. Delivering a quality product at volume is where we really shine, and it is why the customers who buy from us tend to consistently repeat.

Floater frames in bulk

Floaters are ordered exactly like anything else on the site: pick the profile, enter your dimensions, order the quantity you need. The volume tiers read off the product number and the size the same way, so ten of one floater profile at one size is the 10% tier, while a run split across several profiles or several sizes is counted per product number and size.

Start in floater frames, or pick by canvas depth from the Floater Frames menu if you are matching stretched canvas. For a large run of one floater profile, call or email before you place it so we can check the moulding stock against your quantity and your date.

What a 200-frame order actually looks like

Two hundred frames of the same moulding: as long as we have that moulding in stock, we can usually get 200 out close to our normal window, which is 7 to 10 business days to ship. A run that size can add a few days of production, and the other thing that can slow it is not having enough material in stock, which is exactly why a run that size is worth a call before you place it rather than after. If you are on a deadline, tell us the date; we can often commit to it on the phone even though we will not promise it here.

As a general rule, an order of 50 or 100 frames is easily doable. Once you get into the thousands it may take a little longer.

How to place a wholesale order

  • Online. A lot of trade customers just order on the site. Enter your dimensions, see the price, check out. Nothing has to be approved first.
  • By phone, 727-572-4064. If there are higher volumes involved, or you want more of a custom experience, call us.
  • By email. If you want to get really specific and it is a long list, send it in an email, so the right dimensions are documented.

We always like it when people order online or type their orders, because then there is no confusing what was ordered with what was said. On a long list of sizes, a typed order protects both of us.

Freight on large orders

Shipping large orders is easy. We work with a lot of different freight companies and we can palletize a large order. We can ship an unlimited amount of frames at whatever length is necessary across the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. There is really no limitation on length.

On a high-volume order the freight gets quoted in two steps:

  1. We price the order out and give you a ballpark range on the freight cost up front. We want you okay with that range before we proceed with the order.
  2. Once all of the frames are finished and we can palletize them and we know the exact dimensions, we get freight quotes and run those figures by you.

Doing it in that order is the whole point: no surprises once the frames are ready to ship.

Who is already buying frames from us

We cannot name our trade customers. What is safe to say is this: go to a traveling art show, or any sort of fair across the country with artists selling framed art, and it is very common that one or two or a handful of those artists are carrying frames made by our company.
